Amanda Buckner     Bodog
After dropping a war of a fight against Tara Larosa in ’06, Buckner reestablished herself in ’07 as one of the most legit female threats in all of North America. // Kedzie W / Akano W //

Megumi Fuji     Bodog/SmackGirl/Shoot
Known by most as the Fedor of women’s MMA, Fuji just wrecked her opposition this year, including leaving Serin Murray with a busted leg that looked like it was somethin’ from a Tarantino flick. It took her all of 20 seconds to mess Murray up bad... real bad. // Murray W / Yoshida W / Welchin W / Ward W //

Takayo Hashi     SmackGirl/DEEP
One of Smack Girls’ top draws, Hashi has only lost one fight her entire career, and she ended up cleaning that loss up with a massive win over Akano this year. // Morifuji W / Starr W / Lee W / Akano W //

Su Hi Ham     DEEP/SmackGirl
The biggest new name in women’s MMA, Su Hi Ham exploded like a dirty bomb into the DEEP title picture, decisioning against a woman most had as the best in the world at the start of the year, Hisae Watanabe. // Hisae Watanabe W / Miku Matsumoto L / Ayumi Saito W //

Tara Larosa     Bodog
What a god damned year for the Captain America of women’s MMA. Bodog handed Tara some of the toughest fights they coulda dreamed up and she either subbed or KO’d everyone in her path. No woman fought as much high profile talent as Larosa did in ’07. // Berezikova W / Baszler W / Kobald W / Welchin W //

Miku Matsumoto     DEEP
She ran over anyone put in front of her, rebounding from a loss to Lisa Ward pretty nicely by tearin’ it up and closing out her year with a massive win over Wanatabe. She’s new school yo. // Saito W / Su Hi Ham W / Takimoto W / Watanabe W //

Roxy Modafferi     FFF
After a rough ’06, Modafferi posted one of the most impressive one night showings of any woman in this sport maybe ever. She went old school and tooled up three fighters in one night at the K-Grace 1 card, including a decision in the final over Dutch monster, Marloes Coenen. // Rivers-Blasso W / Lee W / Yabushita W / Coenen W //

Satoko Shinashi     DEEP/SmackGirl
DEEP is running out of options for opponents for Shinashi, cuz she’s is as close to unstoppable as it gets. Her takedowns alone look like they’d hurt the average dude and her sub skills are on par with the best in the world, male or female. She may look cute, but she’ll rip your face off and feed it to her dog if you look at her the wrong way. // Kim W / Takimoto W / Sachi W //

Yuka Tsuji     SmackGirl
As much hype as Fuji gets as the best pound-for-pound lady on the planet, it’s not hard to argue vet Yuka Tsuji as the top draw either. A submission killa, Yuka used ’07 to show off her mitts instead. // Poovey W / Tavares W //

Lisa Ward     FFF/Bodog
A controversial loss against world ranked numero uno Fuji is the only blemish Lisa has on her record for a while now. Her wrestling skills landed her gold at this year’s FILA World Wrestling Games. Bodog’s gotta hook her up with a rematch against Fuji in ’08. // Takimoto W / Yoshida W / Nagamine W / Fuji L / Yabushita W //
